A fresh approach to increasing sustained employment

Ingeus advisor and client

Ingeus has delivered employability services in seven countries for over 21 years. Through best practice and innovation we will support more people to find and remain in work for the long term.

Since 2002, Ingeus has helped over 60,000 people in the UK find suitable, sustainable jobs. We support all client groups: both recently and long-term unemployed people, lone parents, and those with health conditions or disabilities. As each client has a unique set of circumstances, our support is tailored to meet individual needs and help each client progress into lasting work.

We have a long history of working with local stakeholders and have built productive partnerships to deliver joined-up services for local clients and communities.

The employability landscape is being redefined to meet the demands of the UK’s economic situation and to achieve government objectives to reduce unemployment. For new programmes, such as the Department for Work and Pensions’ Work Programme, providers will be required to deliver a single, integrated package of support to people with different barriers to work, and to support them to stay in work for longer periods. Contracts will cover large areas and providers will be challenged to innovate.

Ingeus has been accepted onto the Department for Work and Pensions’ Framework for the Provision of Employment Related Support Services in seven regions – London, the East of England, East Midlands, North West England, Yorkshire and the Humber, North East England and Scotland.

We have been named as a preferred bidder to deliver seven Work Programme contracts. We are also developing services in other markets, including education and skills and health and wellbeing.

New thinking from Ingeus and Deloitte will deliver a step-change in performance. For over six months, a multi-dimensional programme – including a research project exploring best practice from across Ingeus’ global operations, statistical analysis and input from hundreds of frontline staff – has helped inform our new approach. Ingeus’ operational experts and Deloitte’s Operations Excellence Practice have combined their expertise to shape a new model that will deliver high levels of performance and a high quality, tailored service to our clients.
