Royal Mail approached Ingeus to find suitable postmen/women for their new mail sorting office in Northampton. Ingeus visited Royal Mail’s South Midlands Resourcing team where they gave a presentation on the benefits of using Ingeus for recruitment purposes. Members of Royal Mail also visited Ingeus’ Northampton office to spend the morning with advisors and find out more about how we support clients into the right work which they will sustain in.
After discussing Royal Mail’s requirements, Ingeus designed and delivered a Royal Mail awareness session which allowed all interested Ingeus clients to learn more about the available roles and decide if they would be suitable. In addition, Sara Dimmer, Royal Mail, delivered a presentation about careers at Royal Mail. This provided an opportunity for clients to get a glimpse of what the job really entailed and allowed them to ask questions - all great preparation for the interviews ahead.
Once clients understood more about working for Royal Mail, if they were still interested in applying they were put through a rigorous screening session which allowed Ingeus to check if the candidates had the qualities that Royal Mail were looking for.
The clients who got through the screening process were then helped by Ingeus to complete the online application and online assessment. They also had practice interviews to ensure they were fully prepared. This preparation paid off as 11 Ingeus clients were offered work at the new sorting office.

A number of employees from Ingeus are already working extra hours on a daily basis, and one individual has told me that their life has changed and that he wished he’d have joined years ago!”
