How we can help
Finding a new job is a very personal process. Our advisors understand this and support you according to your individual needs.
We know there could be many reasons why you have been out of work. That is why your personal advisor will work with you one-to-one to understand your job history, your present situation, and the type of job you want to do. There is no pressure to apply for jobs you don’t want – it’s about finding the right job for you.
How will you work with your advisor?
There is no set menu of support for our clients - it will depend on your personal requirements. Your advisor will listen to what you want first and then recommend activities that will move you closer to finding the right job.
For example, you might need help with creating a new CV, writing covering letters, and searching and applying for work. Or you may want to take advantage of our range of workshops, which cover everything from improving your interview skills to boosting your confidence. Alternatively, you might just need to use our facilities to get on with your job-hunting.
Whatever your needs, our advisors are experts in finding jobs for people, and will do everything they can to help you find the right job for you.
Ongoing support when you get a job
Our support does not stop when you get a job. The move into employment can be challenging, especially if you have been out of work for a long time. We provide continuing support – such as help with completing in-work benefit forms or funding your first week’s travel costs – while you adjust. If you decide you want to develop your career further, we can also offer advice on how best to apply for new opportunities.
