The Work Programme

Ingeus delivers the Work Programme across England and Scotland, providing jobseekers with all the support they need to find and keep a job for the long term.

Ingeus is the UK's largest provider of the Work Programme, the Department for Work and Pensions’ key initiative to substantially reduce unemployment.

Our operations

Together with our network of local and specialist partner organisations from the third, private and public sectors we support jobseekers from over 200 locations across the UK. For more details about our Partner Network click here.

We are delivering seven contracts as prime contractor in the following areas:

  • East of England
  • East Midlands
  • West London
  • North East
  • North West - Cumbria, Lancashire, Merseyside & Halton
  • Scotland
  • West Yorkshire

Ingeus is also delivering the Work Porgramme as a subcontractor in the West Midlands.

Support for jobseekers to find and stay in work

On the Work Programme, Ingeus employment experts help jobseekers with every aspect of getting a job, including learning about different roles and industries, finding vacancies, making strong job applications and performing well in interviews. Jobseekers have access to job vacancies from day one through Ingeus’ close links with employers in all sectors.

Ingeus’ In Work Support Team stay in touch with jobseekers for up to two years after they’ve started work and can help with: applying for in-work benefits, finding appropriate training, dealing with work-related issues, finding suitable childcare, managing expenses and taxes, and career development.

Our work with employers
